It’s a great way of cutting down waste but unless you take a photo of your order, which some canny cruisers did, come lunchtime, let alone dinnertime, most days I’d forgotten what I’d ordered. We made it into a good time, but if I were a true paying customer, I would really be scratching my head as to the cost and what you receive--neither a value nor a luxury. So what follows is my opinion as a consumer, realizing that some folks are fine with paying a lot for this experience.
That's partly because the company has an all-American crew, with college kids making up the steward and deckhand staff. The line also doesn't nickel-and-dime with additional charges -- there's no casino, specialty restaurants or bar onboard, and the line includes a shore excursion in every port. Fares also include gratuities, a pre-night hotel stay and transfers. From the first day to the last day of the trip, everything was just great!! The whole ship was clean, the cabin was like a hotel room (bathroom a little small), the dining experience was excellent, the onboard activities, entertainment, tours and excursions were really good.
